Exterior

The Chevy Camaro receives a few minor upgrades to the exterior, but the big story has to be the all-new chassis, the new and more powerful engine under the hood and the numerous upgrades made to the interior. The Camaro represents the sixth generation of this venerable sports car, and one that has undergone a significant overhaul. The new chassis has its roots in the Cadillac CTS and to some extent the shorter ATS. The new Camaro is a full two inches shorter than last year's model, sits one inch lower, and it is also one inch narrower.

Interior

For the 2019 model year, the Chevrolet Camaro interior will feature new upgraded materials and numerous changes in overall design. It is offered in both LT and SS trims to meet the needs of discerning drivers. Among the many new features are new analog dials, a fully user configurable instrument gauge cluster, and customizable interior ambient lighting. The eight inch touchscreen media display is designed to be used for accessing the infotainment system, navigation, and all Chevrolet MyLink® apps. According to the specs, you may find the interior has given up a little headroom, but at the same time has gained a little extra legroom.

Performance

The Camaro has long been one of the most powerful cars to come with a Chevy bowtie, and the 2019 model with its choice of three power plants continues this tradition. At the base end is stout hearted 2.0L turbocharged inline four that pumps out a very healthy 275 hp and 295 ft-lbs of torque. This engine achieves 30 mpg out on the highway and can hit 0 to 60 in under six seconds. The 3.6L V6 is a newcomer and pumps out 335 hp and 284 ft-lbs of torque.

Safety

As you might expect with any high performance car, the Chevrolet Camaro has been designed with a wide range of safety features designed to keep you and your passengers safe at all times. Among the many safety features are front and rear head airbags, dual front mounted airbags, and built in child seat anchors. The Camaro also features emergency braking assist, front and rear ventilated disc brakes, and daytime running lights.
